The HUB Sermons with Lance Driskell

When Nineveh repented and God relented, Jonah sat east of the city angry. His satisfaction rose and fell with his situation. In this message from Jonah 4:5-11, Pastor Lance Driskell reminds us that God is still in control, that He keeps pursuing us with grace, and for us to live inside God’s will for our lives.

Jonah knew exactly who God was: gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. That was the very reason he ran. In Jonah 4:1-4, Pastor Lance shows how Jonah's anger at God's mercy toward Nineveh reveals a heart that knowledge alone never changed, and calls us to let God's Word truly transform us. We can know about Him and still miss Him.
