This week on The Hudson Valley Disc Golf Podcast: Corey, Alex, Joe, Ryan, Evan, and Randy are joined by special guest Justin Park AKA Dr. Rocks. Before he packs his bags and heads across the Atlantic, he sits down with the crew to give us his Disc Golf story from RPI to PhD. 

Joe recaps a trio of Summer Battle Royale matches against Greg Kurtz, Dave Chaiken, and Peter FitzSisti, while Corey breaks down his match with Nick Warren and tries to figure out where he and Ryan will play next. 

Also, Randy shares his behind-the-scenes volunteer experience working live scoring amid heavy wind, rain and tattoos at the MVP Open. Ryan wings a “Hockey Minute”, Joe and Randy tell us about their experience at the New York State Putting Championships and Corey gives us all of the Season finale action at J-Dubz including payouts and year-end stats, plus we go over results from the other local leagues. We finish it off with a round of Disc or No Disc where they should have just listened to Corey.

This Week on The Hudson Valley Disc Golf Podcast: Jaimen, Corey, Alex, Evan and Jasan are joined by Ryan to help us review a jam-packed stretch of Hudson Valley and regional disc golf. Before Corey and I shared our rounds from the two-course 2026 Montgomery County Championship, Jasan dropped in with major updates on Greenville's C-tier on October 11th. We also recapped Artemis Unchained 6, the Rethrow Open, and the 2026 New York State Championships, including taking a look at the picks we made last week. 

As usual we looked at all of the weekly local leagues, talked about some Team Challenge scheduling and got Ryan's cultural (and culinary) field report from Lithuania. We finished it up with a round of Disc or No Disc where I promise you, the answer was never Levi.

Before we heard about alternate-shot match play, the intricacies of the Swiss system and the chaotic PDGA Live scoring quirks he recounted hitting Western New York for a Genesee Brewery stop, an authentic Rochester garbage plate, and got his thoughts on The Odyssey in IMAX.

Alex and Corey headed overstate(?) to recap the 2026 Syracuse Open at Clay Park and Van Buren. We heard about their rounds, some local standouts and Harry Chace's clutch finish over Braeden Sides.

Greater Hartford, Stony Kill Scramble and the Final Flex or Who orders Salmon at a Mexican Restaurant?

Alex, Corey, Jaimen, Randy, Evan and Joe are back for a jam-packed post-Labor Day edition covering tournament action, local league recaps, and a listener inspired round of trivia.

Corey and Jaimen break down their trip to Wickham Park for the 22nd Annual Greater Hartford Open, Alex recaps the 7th Annual Stony Kill Scramble weekend, detailing his singles play and the wild sudden-death playoffs across both singles and doubles. Randy chimes in on his Massachusetts triples excursion at Barre Falls, his MPO round at the Discap Flex Series finale at Hyzer Creek, and teaming up with Adam Nelson as "The Captain and the Killer" for Stony Kill Doubles. Joe also played at the Discap Flex Series finale and tells us about his round and while Evan didn’t play much this past week, he did have a Summer Battle Royale match to recap. We finished it up with a locally influenced round of Disc or No Disc.

Corey, Alex, Randy, Patrick, and Joe gather for a jam-packed episode covering everything happening on and off the course across the Hudson Valley and beyond. I explained why the podcast release schedule may be moving back to Fridays and asked for listener feedback on upcoming Patreon merch designs and ideas.

We did a full preview of the late summer and fall schedule, including the Battenkill Open at CTK, DisCap Flex #6 at Hyzer Creek, the 7th Annual Stony Kill Scramble (plus course layout and park updates), the Syracuse Open, Artemis Unchained VI, Montgomery County Championships, the Rethrow Open at Colonial Acres, and the New York State Championship heading to Long Island among others.

Alex and Corey broke down their match at CTK, featuring Alex’s lights-out putting, Corey’s clutch throw-in eagle on Hole 18 to force extra holes, and a sudden-death playoff.

Joe recapped his weekend camping out and competing at Maple Hill for the Maple Hill Masters, navigating the Diamond and Blue layouts, torrential rain, and the local food scene.

We also looked at J-Dubs, DisCap Pro League at J-Park, and regional dubs leagues across the area, followed by an update on the SkipAce leaderboard after the Preserve Doubles Championship.
