On Sunday night, 6th of June, the president of Uganda announces a second lockdown due to a resurgence in case numbers for COVID-19 infection.

Schools were ordered to close by 8am the next day and a 4 day deadline was given for students who were at school.

I was in the capital during the announcement on official duty with a planned return date (thankfully a day to the deadline) but becasue of the serious numbers who were to travel and a possible hiking in bus/taxi fares, my stay was shortened, i needed to return to my duty station or risk being locked down in the Kampala Metro for the next 42 days?

Here is a little story and my experience leaving Kampala.
