In this week’s episode, the team follows up from the previous week about Life Insurance. The team did a mental health check, to make sure everyone was in stable condition. They were alarmed at the level that G claimed and told him he was at high risk. G then went into his transparent mode and told a story that was never told to many to include the Hustle Smarter family. When the story revolved back to present day, he spoke on several family issues that he knows he need to address but hasn’t built up the power to address. He spoke on how it’s easier to avoid the conversation and go on about his life even though he know it isn’t healthy. There was some gems dropped also from Kris as he dived into how life is growing up in the average black household where feelings aren’t allowed to be expressed. In this episode, the team spoke on the importance of life insurance. When this episode was recorded, G lost 4 family members within a 3-week span to include his grandfather. Through the pain, G tried to explain the importance of having at least 4x your income in life insurance to leave your family and the importance of them being able to function when the breadwinner is no longer around. They also dropped gems about the effect of not having life insurance. They will do a part two where they bring an insurance agent on to fully decipher the difference between the different options of life insurance so that one can make an informed decision. In this episode, the team had a discussion that started out about support or lack thereof from friends and family members while entrepreneurs are struggling to start their business. The conversation then turned to the debacle with Jim Jones at the Gucci store and how he was treated. The team broke down black business, how even though it’s black owned doesn’t mean it provides a value or service that is reputable. Graham shifted the focus back and explained why it is imperative to appreciate the support you do have from whomever it may be than to constantly bash or reach out for support from others because ultimately some of them do not support theirselves. She gave us the blueprint on how to get through school and how to set yourself up to win in the medical industry. On this week's episode, the team interviewed Cara Connors. Cara Connors is a wife and mother of 2, successful entrepreneur, lawyer and is currently running for 12th Divisional Judicial candidate for Pulaski County Circuit Court. Her hometown is Memphis, Tennessee and she resides with her family in Little Rock. In this interview, she dropped so many gems about her grind to be respected in her field. She also dropped quality gems on how her and her husband communicated and worked together so that the family and their relationship didn't suffer due to both working to achieve their professional goals. She divulged into entrepreneurship and running her own law firm and how it is imperative that you find staff to help you but also make sure that you take care of them and have them buy in into the company so that they fill apart of the team. This episode was timeless and one that we will probably listen to weekly so that we can get re-motivated and go achieve our goals. Hello everyone, we are back! This week's episode is a recap of the team's personal feelings on Black History Month and their stance on it. This episode is a little different from our regular episodes as we are now filming in person for Youtube and with that, our approach is a lot more relaxed and fun. This episode does have gems in it as always, but it is also a little more entertaining that usual. Some of the highlights from this episode is what Graham believes that the Black culture needs to focus more on moving forward rather than looking back. While history is important, it is also imperative that we should be moving forward. Kris believes that we should have a deeper focus on history and that Black America needs better representation in the world. The conversation got entertaining as Kris started speaking on how our ancestors didn't know their last name and that we should seek and find that information. disclaimer, some of the claims made regarding historical moments may not be 100% accurate. Wassup world! On this episode, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Krispy Ken, an Air Force veteran and aspiring entrepreneur. Ken started out his ventures when he left the Air Force, starting with Turo. He then turned his focus and intentionality on Air BNB, where he partnered up and found a property in Tampa Florida that he rents out. This episode not only goes into detail of how to get started with Air BNB and Turo, but this story is also a testament of hard work and dedication and taking a negative situation and turning it positive. When Ken back was against the wall and where pressure normally bust pipes, Ken turned the pressure into a successful business and proved all the haters and doubters WRONG. The crazy part is Ken is just getting started at the young age of 26 years old. We were excited to sit down with them and hopefully you learn something from him.
