Back again with a long overdue episode of the Creative Taro Podcast!!!
I have a chat with the one and only Josh Davies aka @toomuchmybro one half of the team at @oneworldofsport on instagram.
Josh in my eyes is a custodian of New Zealand vintage clothing and fashion and has waved the flag for vintage New Zealand clothing instilling even patriotism within myself influencing my fashion sensibility, thrifting curation process and love for New Zealand made vintage clothing.
Josh had some new kit come through and was happy to share some of his gear with me and of course now, you. Enjoy the poddy, it's a bit choppy as we had to re-connect a few times and if you want to follow Josh you can find him below on Instagram.

Had a blast with this kōrero with the homie and major player in the vintage New Zealand game Andrew aka Smash Club Vintage!!! We go from 0 to 100 as we dig into our experiences with mental health before we start chatting about thrifting, vintage clothing and many other things. A great takeaway from this chat was the level of hustle and work ethic it takes to be fulltimer in this game!!! Appreciate your time and sharing with me for others to enjoy brother Smash! Go and follow the homie if you don't already @smash_club_vintage
On this episode i chat with one of my favourite resellers in the NZ community and a top man, Jordan aka Thriftscores NZ. We chat about all sorts of things pertaining to reselling and in my usual fashion talk about other random things as well. If you're not following Jordan you need too, the man is a thrifting machine! Go follow him on instagram @thriftscores_nz
One of the young homies joins the podcast representing the 8tru8 Huntly. Quaid David joins me as we chat about how he got started in vintage clothing, his inspiration and key people that played apart in that and what the future looks like for his business. Personally i find it cool to chop it up with the young homies and get a glance at their perspective at the game. You can find Sir Thriftalot on instagram @sir_thriftalot
To kick off 2022 we have my bro Rua hailing from windy Wellington. Rua is an avid rugby league supporter and jersey collector and was happy enough to sit down and have a yarn with me about his jersey collection, rugby league and we have a real chat about mental health and the importance of taking care of ourselves as men. Was a pleasure to sit down and kōrero with the bro as he has some awesome stories and knowledge to share. Check out the bro's page on instagram @roosters_jersey_collection_
On this episode i have an awesome kōrero with fellow reseller and absolute certified skateboarding legend Georgie Matthews also known as For The Love of Thrift. Georgie and i chop it up about about her many past lives as well as thrifting, vintage clothing and dig a little into her personal life as she shares stories from the road as a pro-skater and her early love for singing. Was an epic kōrero with an epic human being and a great way to get to know Georgie, her business and her kaupapa! You can find Georgie on insta @_fortheloveofthrift
On this episode i chat with Naki Lemisio the man behind @YTandB (Young, thrifted and broke) page on Instagram. Naki shares with me about full-timing as a reseller, the Wellington thrift scene, his passion and love for art and we cover a whole range of topics including representing his origins of Tokelau and waving the Pacific Island flag within the resell and vintage community in Aotearoa and the world. Every episode brings something new and i always take something away from each guest and this episode doesn't disappoint. Naki is an amazing artist as well as running a successful clothing business page on instagram. Check him out and follow his socials... @ytandb @ytandbkids @naki.lemisio
On this episode we chat with @the_drip_feed, a New Zealand based Nike dunk collector and dealer. We chat about his page, first pairs of sneakers, footy and we name our all-time NBA starting 5 and a whole lot more. Was an awesome chat with someone who is very passionate about sneakers and i learned a lot from the bro's kōrero. Follow @the_drip_feed on Instagram. Thanks for watching and all the support from the community. It's Appreciated!
This episode i chat with Dan from NZ Vintagee. A young entrepreneur from Hamilton currently studying business at Waikato University who runs his vintage clothing business under the instagram page @nzvintagee. This kōrero was an awesome insight to the young homie in the game where we dug a little into the who, what, where and how's of his journey and what the future holds for Dan and his businesses.
