By all accounts, Renae Marsden seemed to be just like any other 20 year old from Sydney, Australia - bright, bubbly, and with a close-knit family and circle of friends. However, the facade would begin to crumble in August 2013, when Renae came home from work distraught, saying that her boyfriend, a man named Brayden Spiteri, had just broken up with her. Things would get even stranger when Brayden would directly text Renae's mother, Teresa Marsden, with a warning "Sort your daughter out. Threatening to kill herself."
