In today's message, Pastor Bill will remind you that the presence of God isn't dependent on any place or building. Oftentimes, people can get it in their minds that the only place they can experience God is in the church... But this isn't the case. When people experience God they are often experiencing the moving of the Holy Spirit... But the Holy Spirit can be anywhere and is inside followers of Christ! Whether you're in church or at home on the couch, the Holy Spirit is ever-present when you seek Him!

In today's message, Pastor Bill will share with you about the third part of the trinity, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came in the New Testament and was a part of the lives of people who followed Christ. The Holy Spirit lives inside of you and empowers you to do the work of the Father - that's why He's called “the helper”. The work of the kingdom of God isn't easy, Jesus knew that this would be true so He left behind a partner in the mission, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power of God living inside you!

As much as the Bible offers wisdom, guidance, and commands for our lives in this world, it doesn’t explicitly cover everything. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, while the Bible warns that plagues will be common in the end times, it doesn’t directly address our response to them. It doesn’t say whether you should wear masks or social distance. Many in the Church have had differing opinions about these things, but it comes down to common sense and doing what demonstrates the love of Christ.

The Apostle Peter didn’t have his masters of divinity or any seminary training. He might have had an education equivalent to getting a high school diploma. He was a fisherman by trade. All of his knowledge and discernment of Scripture came from walking with Jesus and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide him. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, God wants to speak to all of us in the same way He spoke to Peter’s heart and used him to build the Church and reach millions of lost souls.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a year since this crazy COVID-19 thing began - and it’s been a roller coaster of a ride! For some, it’s been a tragic time of grieving loss – the loss of loved ones or perhaps just the life we knew before. For most, it’s been a frustrating process of trying to discern what information to trust. But, as Pastor Bill will challenge us in today’s message, in the midst of the chaos, Christians have an opportunity to demonstrate faith in Christ and to model the peace He brings.

For many of us, this last year, with its pandemic, riots, unrest, and political upheaval have tested our joy. If you were relying on your financial stability, social interactions, or political powers for peace and joy, the rug likely was pulled out from under your feet at some point recently. Those things are inconsistent and will fail you every time. As Pastor Bill will assure us in today’s message, there’s only one source that can provide a steadfast peace and joy amidst the chaos of this fallen world, and that’s Jesus Christ.

God wants you to ask for His presence and Spirit in your life. As a perfect Heavenly Father, He loves giving good gifts, and the best gift He could possibly give you is His Spirit. He doesn’t give it out of obligation or duty, but out of a deep love. This love is deeper than any human mother or father can give, and it will never fail you. As Pastor Bill will encourage us in today’s message, you can come boldly to your Father in Heaven. He longs to have a relationship with you.

As Pastor Bill will stress in today’s message, a crucial part of honoring God and obeying His commands is to honor your father and mother. If you’re blessed to have parents who are believers, that goal is relatively easy. Following Jesus is the ultimate way you can honor that mother who thinks about and prays for you every day. Your career or financial success doesn’t really matter. Whether you’re “living the dream” or only have your dreams, true success is only found in a faithful walk with Christ.

Have you ever been so elated about something that you’re simply bursting at the seams to tell someone? … anyone? Pastor Bill will ask you today, are you THAT excited to share about your Savior? He’ll challenge you to focus on your “primary directive” as a follower of Christ… and that’s to share the TRUTH about Jesus with others. Amidst all the confusion and conflicting opinions out there, know that the Bible is true, it’s not up for debate. Rest in that today.

There’s a big difference between knowing about something and really comprehending it. Pastor Bill will remind you today that when you get saved, the Holy Spirit invades your life and you see the scripture in a brand new light. Pastor Bill will challenge you to dive deep into the scripture. It’s not enough just to read the Bible… sometimes it’s in one ear and out the other. He’ll challenge you today to really understand what you’re reading and allow it to permeate and change your life.
