My conversation in this podcast stemmed from absolute curiosity on my end. What is gut health, and why is it important? This is a question I wanted to dive into, and Jayne Williams was the perfect guest to help me discover the answer. Jayne is a certified Holistic Nutritionist host of the Elevated Wellness podcast; she’s certified in gut health and is a long-time advocate of health and nutrition.

Jayne shares her personal journey to discovering the importance of gut health from her own past health issues. We discuss the importance of understanding how we source our food, the first steps to improving gut health, healthy bowel movements, listening to the whispers our body is saying, getting baseline blood work done annually, and the necessity to advocate for yourself when it comes to your health continuously.

Most importantly, don’t ignore what your body is trying to tell you. As busy mothers, we are constantly taking care of our children’s needs and health, but putting off your wellness can be detrimental if not taken care of.
