Faith is the engine that drives us forward with God, but like all engines it must be fed with fuel, eg. the Word of God, prayer and thanksgiving. And as our faith increases, we learn how to better listen to God and what to ask for and what not to ask for. Unfortunately though, the desires of our hearts are not always in our best interests, and we can ask for the wrong thing, and if we're adamant enough, the Lord might just give it to us, so we can feel the negative consequences. Hopefully that will teach us a useful lesson, but it's so much better to listen to God and obey him right away, than having to go through the fire of negative results first. So please, let's increase our faith by spending more time with God and thus enjoy more of His goodness and mercy. That's wisdom in spades! Much LOVE!
