Jesus christ expects us to be obedient to His commands, as He said, if you LOVE me, keep my commandments. That doesn't mean only when it's convenient to us, but even when it's tough and inconvenient. That's the measure of a true disciple. One who lays aside his own desires, picks up his cross everyday and follows what is best in the eyes of the Lord. And it's no wonder our world is in the sorry state it's currently in because we have been seriously disobedient to God's Word and Will for the last couple of generations. And it's only if we turn from our evil ways, sincerely begin living for God, by reading, studying and putting His Word into serious practice in our daily lives that our world will ever turn around!
