Christmas is indeed a time for much joy, celebrations, gift giving and feasting, but have we ever stopped and wondered why it's so. Why at the end of every year we have so much fun, love and compassion for others? It's because of the incarnate birth of Christ, the Son of God, who came to earth to save us from our abominable sins. Now that should be a reason for much joy, because that gives us the option of spending eternity in heaven with Christ and not merely being led to our death and destruction in hellfire with Satan! That's why Christmas is such an important time in the lives of believers . And yes, we do celebrate the birth of a newborn baby, but this newborn was different, an exception, one who came to save lives and declare the truth of God's Word. Let's acknowledge Him with the reverence and exaltation that He deserves nuh! Much LOVE!
