If you want to get close to God you must study His Word consistently under a pastor who has the spiritual gift to teach you. Everything in the Bible is inspired by God for a reason. The Word of God is here for you to learn and apply in your life. “You shall seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer 9:23). Biblical information that is believed by faith in your mind and applied in your heart becomes wisdom. It’s a different way of thinking, a mindset of humility and not arrogance. Humility is teachability. Learning the truth from the Scripture establishes protectors in your soul. Satan will try to discredit the Scripture. Don’t be lured by false teaching. “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
