Oh friends, life is not a bed of roses, but is full of ups and downs because of our sinful nature. Thus we can't expect to experience all good times and no tough ones. But those tough times are very important in the growing and maturing of our faith, for it's in those tough times that our faith grows, when we realize that we have no one else but Almighty God to depend on, and we humbly bow our will to His. So good times are good, and we all like to experience them, but the fact is that good times do nothing for our spiritual maturity because we don't have to expend any real faith during those periods. So please, let's enjoy the good times, but not lose our faith in the tough ones, and instead let those unfruitful times build our faith in Christ Jesus, so that we can continue being fruitful in His most worthwhile cause.
