Now, being a disciple of Christ is one of the most important positions in the life of His church. That means we do what He wants us to do, sacrifice our desires, even if it's tough. Like Jesus said to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion, when He went pleading for the crucifixion to be nixed. Three times He asked it, and three times He got no response. His final words then were ' not my will, but thine be done.' And that's how we have to view our discipleship in Christ: not our will, but His, even if it hurts us to our very core, like it hurt Him when He was nailed to the cross at Calvary for our sinful behaviour.
