There has been debate regarding whether it is necessary to turn solar power off prior to Tropical Cyclone Alfred making landfall. 

Area Manager at Energex, Chris Graham, told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "People should be shutting down their solar, and if they've got any questions or any doubts, talking to their installers and checking their manufacturer's instructions is the way to go."
