The importance of understanding that Jesus is the head of the church and thus the church ought to reflect His character and virtues.
God made Jesus to be the head of the church because He had made all things in the universe, therefore, it was only fitting that the One who made it all should rule it all. That's why we say the church is the body of Christ. He has infused it with all His characteristics and virtues, thus the church should be a reasonable replica of Christ, but unfortunately it's not. and it will only be truly the body of Christ when we believers wake up and begin behaving the way we ought to, in other words, like Christ! Much LOVE!
