The Impromptu Google’s Big Day: The Pixel 2 Family

Listen Later

['

Synopsis: This week on the podcast, it’s Google’s big product day. And as usual, the unending cat and mouse game played between corporate giants Apple and Google, continues. A new flagship smartphone, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, a new Pixelbook notebook computer, Google Home Max (akin to the HomePod), and wireless earbuds that seem all too familiar, Google Pixel Buds.

\n

A year after Apple released their wireless AirPods, it was only a matter of time before their closest competitor would shed the shackles of wires that encumber us to our devices. Pixelbuds are here, and with loops that secure themselves to your ears, which we can’t help but feel seems like a jab at Apple and the flack they received for the AirPods and their potential to fall out of your ears (though many that use them will quash those concerns).

\n

In today’s discussion, we’ll discuss Google’s ongoing design efforts and look back at just how far they’ve come in providing consumers with a polished, end-to-end experience. So don’t go anywhere, because that’s coming up next on The Impromptu.
