Welcome to the Spotlight. My name is Jared Rimer. Today, we've got two different artists we're going to feature.

The first one is GT Oliver. They are a multi instrumentalist, composer plays piano and harp and found them in the Celtic category of their recent release. They have one other album and a single. We have both albums but not the single. They live in South Africa.

The second Circuit Static. A las Vegas artist, we found them through Mastodon through a boost. The artist plays ambient, EDM and electronic music. His music may have been heard on channels like Sirius XM's BPM among possible others. His boosted post talks about him becoming homeless if he can't make rent. The full collection is $86.50 minimum and he even released a new album. I have all of them and we'll play a subset of things through the 66 releases. Here is his web site if you'd like to learn more about him.

We'll also play other stuff from around the landscape. Enjoy!

Before we start the playlist, this boost is what got me to find Circuit Static, and we should think about this.

Cosmality :verified:: I will be #homeless in 2 weeks despite constantly and still #looking for #work.

Please read the linked letter, and buy one of my works and/or an access pass if you can.

https://www.cosmality.com/dl/Homeless2023.pdf

#donate #buy #help

To top it all off, I saw this boost. I talked about this too.

Luka /sonomu/: when you see somebody sharing download codes for bandcamp albums, please be aware that those artists that don't have much sales have to buy those codes, essentially they are buying you a free download - if they can afford it!

also, penniless artists have limited amount of free downloads/month, after they run out and have little sales, they need to buy more free downloads.

if you can, go and spare those few bucks on a privilege to have their music in your bandcamp collection (or your drive).

Let's do our part to help Circuit Static and others who are penniless. You can make that difference.
