Summary

In 1988, the Ravagers are sent to Earth by the Celestial Ego to retrieve his son Peter Quill, but mistakenly abduct a young T’Challa from Wakanda. He joins them to explore the galaxy. 20 years later, T’Challa has become a famous galactic outlaw mercenary, ‘Star-Lord’, while a reformed Thanos and Korath have joined the Ravagers roster. Nebula approaches the Ravagers, proposing to steal the Embers of Genesis, cosmic dust capable of terraforming ecosystems and eradicating galactic hunger, from the new galactic kingpin Taneleer Tivan. To get close to Tivan on Knowhere, they offer him the Power Stone Orb that T’Challa obtained from Morag. In Tivan’s vast collection, T’Challa finds a Wakandan spacecraft sent to find him, revealing that Wakanda was not destroyed as Ravager leader Yondu Udonta claimed. Nebula seemingly betrays the Ravagers, leading to their temporary capture, as she executes a triple cross on Tivan to obtain the Embers. Tivan’s slave Carina frees T’Challa. The Ravagers and Carina defeat Tivan and his henchmen, the Black Order. Carina frees Tivan’s numerous captives, leaving him at their mercy. Afterward, the Ravagers travel to Wakanda, where T’Challa reunites with his family. Elsewhere on Earth, Ego approaches Quill, who is a restaurant janitor.

Title: “What If… Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?”

Summary

During World War II, Steve Rogers is initially chosen to be the world’s first super-soldier. Before he can receive the super-soldier serum, Hydra spy Kruger intervenes and shoots Rogers and Chester Phillips. Peggy Carter shoots Kruger and volunteers to receive the serum herself. She is successfully enhanced, but John Flynn bans her from combat. Secretly receiving equipment from Howard Stark, Carter steals the Tesseract from Hydra, and is then promoted to a combat role as Captain Carter. Stark uses the Tesseract to create a weaponized suit of armor for Rogers to pilot, as the “Hydra Stomper”. Carter and Rogers fight many battles during the war, including a rescue of captured Bucky Barnes and Dum Dum Dugan from Hydra. A suited Rogers is captured while attacking a booby-trapped Hydra train, and presumed dead by his allies. Carter and her allies infiltrate a Hydra base where they find Rogers. In the base, the Red Skull uses the Tesseract to open a portal and unleash an inter-dimensional tentacled creature, which kills him. Carter sacrifices herself to force the creature back to its dimension. Almost 70 years later, the portal is reopened. Carter emerges from it and meets Nick Fury and Clint Barton.

Summary

Smallville businesses struggle while the residents grow angry with DOD’s presence in the town. Chrissy gets an offer to sell the Gazette while the Cushings make plans to move out of town after Kyle gets a job offer in Bristol County. Sam tries to calm the residents at a town hall meeting but fails when he is forced to dodge Sharon Powell’s question about Derek’s death after being informed that Tal-Rho has broken Larr out of the DOD facility. Superman and Irons confront Tal-Rho and Larr in Metropolis where Tal-Rho uses his new powers to create four new Subjekts out of the crowd and unleashes them on the city. While Superman and Irons are able to apprehend Larr and the four Subjekts, Tal-Rho manages to escape. Meanwhile, Sam picks up the twins and Sarah from a party to take them to safety. They are attacked by Tal-Rho who kidnaps Jordan and implants Zeta-Rho’s consciousness into him.

Open World Games

These games don’t force the player to follow a set upon roadmap. Yes, there is a main narrative, but the player is able to navigate the world before them, giving them the freedom to explore as they see fit. A secondary version of this concept are games where choices matter and you must be aware of the consequences of certain actions.

Why?

These games are more like real life. You have to take care not to get too distracted from your path lest ye be lost in the side quests of life. The freedom is exhilarating but is not without responsibility. Also, the replay value when so many choices are before you is incalculable (as are the hundreds of hours I’ve spent on these types of games).

Urban Fantasy

Taking elements of the supernatural and mixing them into modern-day times.

Why?

For me, urban fantasy makes the events all the more accessible and interesting. It posits the question: if ghosts and ghouls, vampires and werewolves roamed your streets, would you know? And how would you react?

One of the more popular genres, sci-fi focuses on the advances of science in a fictional setting. These vary between the uber fantastical (say Valerian & the City of a Thousand Planets or Star Wars) or the ones more grounded in reality (The Expanse).

Why?

Sci-fi has always captured my imagination and it’s a staple of how I was initiated into geek culture. My first remembered theater-going experience was at 6 when my family and I walked up to the Showcase Cinemas in Springdale towards a massive line of moviegoers awaiting their chance to see Return of the Jedi.

Classic ’80s TV Show ‘SilverHawks’ Being Reanimated By The Nacelle Company

Title: “For All Time. Always.”

Summary

In the Citadel at the End of Time, Loki and Sylvie meet Miss Minutes and reject an offer from her creator, “He Who Remains”, to return them to the timeline with everything they desire. Meanwhile, Renslayer leaves on a mission to find “free will” after receiving information from He Who Remains. B-15 proves to TVA troopers their variant status by showing a Renslayer variant who is a school vice-principal. He Who Remains tells Loki and Sylvie that he ended a multiversal war caused by his variants, isolated his timeline, and created the TVA. As he has grown weary, he offers them a choice: kill him and end the singular timeline, risking another multiversal war, or become his chosen successors in overseeing the TVA and the singular timeline. Sylvie decides to kill him, while Loki pleads with her to stop. They kiss, but Sylvie sends Loki back to TVA headquarters. She kills He Who Remains, unleashing a multiverse with timelines that cannot be pruned. At the TVA headquarters, Loki warns B-15 and Mobius about variants of He Who Remains. But they do not recognize Loki. Loki sees that a statue of one of these variants, Kang, has replaced those of the Time-Keepers.

Summary

Sylvie tells Loki she escaped the TVA’s custody as a child (after Renslayer captured her). Loki and Sylvie bond romantically, creating a unique branched timeline that alerts the TVA, allowing for their rescue and arrest before Lamentis-1 is destroyed. Mobius leaves Loki in a time loop from his past of Sif attacking him. B-15 has Sylvie show memories of B-15’s past life, proving B-15’s variant status. Renslayer tells Mobius that C-20 had died from a mental breakdown, but Mobius steals a recording showing Renslayer interrogating a mentally sound C-20, who insists that the TVA workers are all variants. Mobius frees Loki from the loop, but Renslayer confronts them and has Mobius pruned. Renslayer has Loki and Sylvie brought before the Time-Keepers, who order Loki and Sylvie deleted. B-15 assists Loki and Sylvie, who proceed to defeat Renslayer and the TVA guards. Sylvie beheads a Time-Keeper, revealing that the Time-Keepers are androids. As Loki prepares to tell Sylvie something, a recovered Renslayer prunes him. Sylvie holds Renslayer hostage, demanding from her the truth about the TVA. In a mid-credits scene, Loki awakens in an unknown realm, where other Loki variants invite him to join them.

Summary

On Raxus, which was the homeworld of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, the Empire institutes new curfew laws with the support of local senator Avi Singh. While addressing the public, Singh speaks out against the Empire instead and is arrested. His protocol droid GS-8 hires Cid to help rescue Singh, and she sends the Bad Batch who are reluctant to help after fighting against the Confederacy in the Clone Wars. Omega is left behind due to the multiple bounty hunters that are targeting her, and she wins Cid enough money playing dejarik to pay off the Bad Batch’s debt. With the help of GS-8, the Bad Batch rescue Singh and take him to Cid for payment.

‘Supernatural’ Prequel ‘The Winchesters’ In Works At The CW From Jensen & Danneel Ackles

Title: “Lamentis”

Summary

Loki follows the Variant, who goes by Sylvie, to the TVA. Sylvie attempts to visit the Time-Keepers, while Loki tries to apprehend her. Renslayer attacks both of them, so Loki uses a TemPad to teleport himself and Sylvie away. They arrive at 2077 Lamentis-1, a moon that is soon to be crushed by a planet. Both cannot escape due to the TemPad having run out of power. They agree to work together because Loki has magically hidden the TemPad, while only Sylvie knows how to recharge it. They sneak aboard a train bound for the Ark, an evacuation spaceship, intending to use the Ark to recharge the TemPad. Loki gets drunk, causing the guards to discover them. During the fight, Loki is thrown off the train, and Sylvie follows him. Loki shows that the TemPad is broken, so the duo changes their plan, intending to commandeer the Ark to escape. During their journey on foot, Sylvie says that the TVA’s workers are all variants. Rather than creations of the Time-Keepers as Mobius claimed. Loki and Sylvie fight their way through guards while trying to board the Ark, but the Ark is destroyed by a meteor, leaving them stranded.

Summary

While chasing after Bane, the Bad Batch learns from Tech that Omega is an unmodified replication of Jango Fett, making her the only available source for fresh cloning material. On her way to an old Kaminoan facility on Bora Vio for her delivery, Omega tricks Bane’s droid aide Todo into releasing her and enables the Bad Batch to trace her. Lama Su sends Taun We to Bora Vio and orders Nala Se to eliminate Omega after retrieving genetic samples from her. Informed by Nala Se, Fennec Shand arrives on Bora Vio, kills Taun We, and duels Bane, allowing Omega to escape and be retrieved by her friends.

Title: “The Variant”

Summary

Loki joins a TVA mission following an ambush by the fugitive Variant of Loki in 1985, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He wants assurance that the TVA will let him meet the Time Keepers instead of disintegrating him but Agent Mobius figures out that he is stalling. Back at the TVA headquarters, Mobius convinces Renslayer to give Loki another chance. They begin researching and Loki figures out that the fugitive variant is hiding in an apocalyptic event like Ragnarok where they can go undetected because nothing they do can change the timeline. They narrow it down to a hurricane in Alabama in 2050. To confirm his theory, TVA agents travel to Alabama, and Loki is paired with Hunter B-15. The fugitive variant uses body swap to talk to Loki through Hunter B-15 and two men before eventually revealing herself as Lady Loki, a female version of Loki. She has a countdown clock connected to the reset charges she has been stealing from the TVA. As the clock runs out, the reset charges disappear, creating new timeline branches at different points in time. Lady Loki then teleports into a timeline, and Loki follows her.

The Scrapper Guild informs the Empire of the Bad Batch’s location, and Crosshair is sent to kill them.
