Kristen Tippit and Jon Porter founded LOGiC.baby, a St. Louis based nonprofit, to support families going through their NICU journey. Having their own baby unexpectedly spend 22 days in the NICU in May 2020, the duo wanted to create a space for families to connect, feel empowered, supported, engaged, and practice advocacy so that parents could improve their own mental health and their babies would have better health outcomes and shorter NICU stays. Using a new app from the makers of Marco Polo, they created NICU Channels, a video membership platform with a channel dedicated to every step of the NICU journey; from pregnancy, to the NICU, and beyond.

About Ann Graham: Her interest in Pediatric Oncology began when, at age 43, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a primary bone cancer that affects kids aged 10-20.  Age notwithstanding, she was treated in the Pediatric Cancer Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Like most adults, she was unaware of how little funding pediatric cancers receive, how great the suffering is, and how too often the youngest patients lose limbs, organ function and their lives to cancer. 

Ann began MIB Agents in 2012 when fellow osteosarcoma patient, Alyssa Divers, age 11 was sent home to Hospice.  Ann rallied her friends to create an extraordinary NYC experience for Alyssa and her family in her last week of life. 

Today, MIB Agents work to ensure that no one walks alone through osteosarcoma - physicians, researchers and patient families - by providing Research, Education and Support Programs to the osteosarcoma community.  

Our wholehearted belief is in advocacy with and for the entire disease community - researchers, clinicians, patients and their families.  Understanding that all constituents working toward the common goal of “better” is the best and most expedient way toward improving outcomes.

Rebecca (Becky) J. Hatter has been President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) for 27 years. In that time, her “Put young people first” leadership has brought about dramatic growth – both in impact and scale – making BBBSEMO the most effective mentoring organization in the State of Missouri and the 6th largest Big Brothers Big Sisters among 267 affiliates across the country. In addition to leading that federation in quality service for seven straight years, BBBSEMO is the only agency ever to be awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s Agency of the Year, Board of the Year, Staff of the Year, and # 1 in Quality Service in the same year. In June 2018, BBBSEMO accepted Large Agency of the Year honors for the second time in a decade.

Such development has come through bold initiatives Becky has helmed regionally and nationally. They include ABCToday®, a U.S Department of Education-lauded initiative around student data and community networked interventions in 19 Cape Girardeau and St. Louis schools; Amachi Missouri, a statewide partnership program with other Big Brothers Big Sisters affiliates and the Missouri Department of Corrections that serves children of incarcerated parents; and Big Futures, a program created to support “alumni” Littles through age 25 as they own their future through education, enlistment in military, and/or living-wage employment.

Becky’s decades-long work has also been widely honored. President Barack Obama named her a 2013 Champion for Change in educating African American children, a distinction underscored by her return to Washington, D.C. when President Obama recognized Big Brothers Big Sisters for its efforts in college preparation, entry, and completion rates. In 2014, Becky accepted the call to join the Ferguson Commission as a Commissioner and appointment to Chair of the Child Well-Being and Education Equity Work Group. A graduate of Leadership St. Louis and Leadership Missouri, and a Governor Matthew Blunt appointee to the Missouri Community Service Commission, Becky has also been honored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award and was recently a 2019 finalist for MENTOR’s Lifetime Achievement Award.   

Becky is also a four-time Big Sister who has kept close contact with Little Sister Ivey (matched 20 years ago) and Little Sister Ke’Sheara (25 years). Becky and her husband Bill have been a Big Couple to Little Brother Erick for twelve years, and like others they remain connected and close.
