During Navarathri- the 9 Nights of the Goddess-the Feminine Divine is worshipped in all of her multiplicity... The mantra for the Goddess Durga is chanted here and can be repeated for meditation, worship and in devotion. Sit comfortably with your spine erect and take a few deep inhale and exhales to steady your energy body. Invite the image of the Goddess Durga or any image that you resonate with in your mind at the 3rd eye chakra at the forehead. As you visualize her form and her splendor, take another deep inhale and on the exhale chant the mantra. Om Dum Durgaye Namaha! Do it for as long as you like or simply listen to this chant.
Navarathri or the Nine Nights of the Goddess is celebrated in different traditions across India. IT is celebrated at the transition of seasons to worship the Divine Feminine as the power and force behind the rhythms and cycles of life. Durga is the combined force of Kali, Lakshmi and Saraswati coming together and this force is easily accessible to all of us if we approach Her with reverence like a child approaching its Mother whose primary focus is to protect, nourish and support the child at all costs.
This episode is a quick dive into who and what is Shakti as the primordial causal energy or force in the Cosmos. We briefly touch on the Goddess Kali as an archetype of our lower/base needs and ego centered actions.
We are not just our body, and we are not just our mind, we are more than both these combined. But the mind definitely exerts its presence in the Body and two are intertwined as one. I provide a brief body anchoring and relaxation meditation to practice. Please listen with headphones for optimal listening and do when at rest in your space.
In this episode I explore what judgment may actually translate to and how it presents the opportunity for self-acceptance and Self-love.
This 4 minute episode is a brief exploration of what triggers you on a daily basis where you see a behavior or reaction that is based on a belief, conditioning or fear that is acquired or inherited. Beliefs can be changed by a shift in perspective, when we look at the situation for exactly what it is. The first step towards personal transformation is to acknowledge and examine your biases, beliefs and triggers and how your reactions are fear-based rather than a response based on true understanding.
