Christopher & Ervens explore the ethical issues of informed consent in medical research. They claim that patients should be fully aware and well educated before biological samples are used for scientific research.

Jaymani claims that people should be fully informed before agreeing to anything. They should understand what is happening, what they are consenting to, and what risks may come with that decision.

I am going to be discussing the informative consent issues within the medical field while making reference to the story of Henrietta lacks 

Throughout this podcast I will explore the implications and limitations of what ethical consent regulations could cause. The main question I will be exploring is “How can the broad legislation of informative consent policies pose possible healthcare limitations”  From my research, I found that the broad approach ethical consent regulations could have a very significant effect on the prominent situations where informative consent cannot be given to or understood by a patient in danger and in need of medical care. 

Science and medicine are not neutral, and that informed, ethical inquiry—especially through student voices—can expose inequities, challenge injustice, and inspire meaningful change.
