This episode was hard but necessary. As always, I like to look deep within myself and examine the issues I have going on mentally and this was one at the top of the list. It's something I've wanted to talk about for a while and get off my chest but I was waiting for the right time. After seeing "The Father", I knew I had the courage to share my side of a story that affects so many people around the world. Listen in as I recount my time living with my mother who has dementia and how "The Father" validated all the feelings I've been feeling for the past 5 years. This movie had helped me be "seen" and help me realize that I'm not alone in my feelings or thoughts (intrusive) or not.

This is the stuff you only see in romantic movies or bat shit crazy reality shows, but yes two people from different countries CAN meet and fall in love with each other. Although it didn't start like that, (rarely do they ever). Where something that started out as a fling, then a budding relationship, can turn into a full blown union in a matter of months is something to behold. Never in my wildest dreams I thought this individual would find love, but as it seems, love found him - and what a love it is. So much so, that he's going overseas to continue to grow and cultivate it and who knows what it will blossom to then. At times in our lives we have to look back in order to know where we're going. So I did just that. Through notes, memories, old emails, and texts I decided to go back in time and re-evaluate my relationships serious and other wise to determine whether or not we could have gone all the way or ending was actually the better outcome.
