This week is mostly about getting started. From recording equipment to getting your music out there, we're here to provide you with the info to get started, from the perspective of artists who have had to muddle through this stuff themselves.
Be warned! Some of these topics might be so boring that they send you to sleep, but try and stay awake! A lot of this info is very valuable for artists who are just getting going on their journey.
We'd love to get your feedback and find out if there was anything that we missed. Also, if there are any question you would like to submit, just get in touch in the comments, over on instagram @theinscapestudios or via [email protected]
Enjoy (or at least try)

We sit down together to discuss some breaking, important news from the industry: Spotify and their new royalty model. This could, potentially, be the start of another big shift in music and, although Spotify have been very nonchalant and vague about the whole thing, it could have massive impacts on various levels of the creative industries, including podcasting and audiobooks. We discuss the news in depth, pondering possibilities and you can refer to the articles mentioned below.
We also talk about lighter stuff, such as forgetting about fear and competition since getting to Anglesey and how that benefits us creatively and just in our every day life. Plus our regular segments!

This week it’s just the two of us, taking stock. We’re getting married this week and it felt like a good time to sit back and reflect on some of the nuances, and glaringly obvious topics, associated with working with your partner, especially in a creative way.
Since we have the big day coming up, we haven’t had the bandwidth to get in a guest, as usual, but we didn’t want to leave you empty handed, especially as the reality of working with your partner can be such a deep well to drink from, and can effect many people in many walks of life.
We have a fairly rumbly chat about relationship dynamics, money and a few more tangents.
Thanks for your support and let us know if you have any questions.
As you will hear, Rudi is switched on when it comes to being an independent artist, trying new and exciting things to help push his career and creativity. He also does this in the local area with the help of Creative Wick, something that we took part in during 2023, helping young creatives get in to local studio spaces.
We’ve also got our usual segments, the recommendations from which you can check out below.

After having them in the studio with us for the week, we thought it would be a massive missed opportunity not to get then on the pod!
We delve into how Little Victories came together and the journey that they have been on, including some pretty unique pandemic stories! We also delve into the language of music, some eerie similarities between our relationships and that dreaded word...CONTENT.
