This week I spoke with Nicholas, a member of the ALTTO team that has put together an incredible resource over at ALTTO.net, in hopes to change the ALT game. A noble (and 100% free) cause worth following. TLDR= make ALTs better and conditions will improve.

This week I talked with Kevin, live from his corona quarantine hotel room. Kevin managed to enter Japan, during the corona virus travel ban from America. How? Why? Who? Listen in and learn for yourself.

Here is Kevin's reddit post on the subject for more detail: https://www.reddit.com/r/japanlife/comments/hesjme/my_experience_entering_the_country_and/

This week I talk with Peter, a working in Japan veteran that has both started his own Eikaiwa and Aviation English school. Starting Eikaiwas is fairly common (Though starting successful ones is rare), but Aviation English is not something I knew existed. Listen and learn all about both this week.

This week I talk with Thomas, a former 5-year JET turned HR/Recruitment guy. Many people turn to HR after being an ALT, but few can make it work long term. Today I ask Thomas how he has done just that. Enjoy!

This week I talk with myself and answer some questions I got from the mailbag:

* I want to keep my job in America while working in Japan, will I have enough freetime to do that?

* How can people spend years in Japan and not learn Japanese?

*  I can't find any motivation to learn Japanese... what should I do?

* What's the future of the University Teaching Job Market?

* Can I work outside of my Eikaiwa/ALT job even though the contract says I can't?

This week I talk with Whitney, another great entry in my mini series interviewing people that I watched on Youtube before coming to Japan myself. Whitney had a great time on JET, but decided to jump into big city life after only a year. After captaining his own ship for several years, he decided to head home. From JET to selling wine to tough decisions, lots of great stuff in this one.
