You have to teach your child how to read...now what? It's funny because as much as it's a skill we use everyday, we have to think about breaking the steps down in order to teach reading and it can totally feel overwhelming. 

Then after you teach reading, your child may push back and not want to read. It could feel like pulling teeth to get them to read. You want them to love reading and know it's good for them to practice, but they aren't having it.

In this episode, I break down the steps of how to read in detail so you can easily implement and begin teaching reading. I also go over some simple, practical steps to help foster a love of reading.

Often times our initial instinct might be to give our kids the answer right away. We try to find what we need to teach them and think that is all we need to do. Just teach them information and do some activities.

But education needs to go beyond that. Instead of just teaching our kids information on facts - which is also important and necessary - we need to teach them how to think.
