In this episode, I gave a lecture on the question of whether or not the Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) - so called the "Father of Existentialism" - was actually an existentialist associated with the camp of Camus, Sartre and others. In this lecture, I argue that Kierkegaard was a Christian thinker unique to his own category. However, he was expressively religious in areas which have significant convergence with the classical theist tradition as we find it from Aristotle, Plato, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas and others. Enjoy!
