“…Just putting [your goals] down on paper… this is what my resume needs to look like in 3 years, and 5 years…helps people start to shape the way that they need to start moving their career in order to get there.”
Megan Jensen has lived in Japan, Singapore, Canada, Denmark, Mexico, and the US. She’s flown across the world, and now she’s helping to build other modes of transportation technology with Uber. Megan started her career working at Hyundai, then transitioned to a job that she loved at NBC Universal before being recruited to work at Uber. She now works with the Uber scooter team during one of the company’s most exciting years as it prepares for an IPO.
In this episode, we discuss how writing a resume for your future self can help you reach your career goals, what makes Uber a special company to work for, and how Megan learned to build a massive scooter warehouse by starting with only a pen, paper, and some duct tape.
