My parents set a tone for vocal, verbal, tangible love. Something you can cling to. Something you can keep tucked away like treasure. Likely because, all around my childhood home were post it notes, and printed notes and notes on napkins. I went on to share this love action with every lover until my last boyfriend, who met it with refusal. I was reintroduced to this part of my love language this year and it had me walking on sunshine.
