Ozgen describes the restructuring of the supply chain taking place in Romania. Large scale manufacturers and logistics operators are seeking to move and develop cost-efficient structures that are closer to their customers. The nation’s geographical location makes Bucharest and Constanța a gateway to Western Europe, mirroring the role the UAE plays in re-exporting to the Middle East and Africa. 

As nations continue to diversify from non-renewable energy revenues, the logistics and freight industry booms. Romania’s freight and logistics market was valued at USD 21.1 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow on an upward trajectory, reaching USD 25 billion in the next 5 years.
