Dr. Les Hardin  Author, and Professor of New Testament at Johnson University Florida.

In addition to his ministry experience in the local church,  Dr. Hardin has also taught as an Adjunct Professor for Great Lakes Christian College and Cincinnati Christian University.

2. Rooted in Christ: A Beginner's Guide to the Christian Life (Lulu, 2012).

Is it possible that slick, over professionalism in church creates Spiritual Zombies who've never learned to participate?

There is a lesson to be learned as we are all social distancing for CV19 virus. The church is not closed, it is not going to die!

This tragedy from hell, and the result of a fallen and broken world that is not yet redeemed (God is not doing this), gives us an opportunity to re think what worship is, and how it can and does look different today. 

There is something positive to be learned as our buildings are closed. 

How will it effect what we do as we go forward? Nobody knows!

However, what is clear we have all been forced to step up and be the church where we are. 

We are joined by

JASON MCVICAR, Minister in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. And Alumni of (MCC) Maritime Christian College, and former student of Tom. 

Jason's claim to fame is as the Church leader who fired his Youth Group. Listen is to let him explain his story.

He works with people who want to be disciples with a contributing effort. 

For COV19 isolation Jason chose not to preach to an empty church. Hear that story. 

DAN FOREMAN is also a Minister in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Also an Alumni of (MCC) Maritime Christian College, 

Dan allows people to learn and grow through participation. He wonders how our over professionalism leads to lack of opportunity for people to stretch their wings and Grow. He feels some people need to return their Music gift, it's broken! ;-)  

For COV19, Dan resisted the HUGE PRESSURE right now, the pressure for EVERYONE, and EVERY church to put their church service online. Dan chose not to recreate yet another live church feed, as he knows there are 10,000 of them to watch already. So why duplicate that?

So he shares a communion time online and invites others to participle in this with his family. It's not easy to go against the grain.

TOM MARSHALL Our trusted sidekick, Professor at MCC in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island,  Former Minister, reveals a story we never knew about him:   He worships best while in the forest Sasquatch hunting. ;-)

The Question That Has Not Been Asked Yet!

Church ONLINE attendance in the UK was up 10 times normal physical Attendance on the average Sunday in the country. 

All because of the Lock down from CV19.  

The CV19 Promise is not, God will protect you and you won't get sick, so have hope, do not fear".

Really? Is that our message?   

When did God ever promise that we would be protected from the fallen, yet to be redeemed diseases from corruption and decay of a fallen world?

What HE is promising is that He is ever present through whatever unfolds.  

Is he enough to for us, come what may? Yes! 

Re-evaluation time has arrived for our faith!

Why is it we hold up our events at the be all and end all.

Do you not realize that the conversations in front of us every day, have a deeply transformative power in them?

Try this! Stop inviting people to your church events.

Begin inviting people to time spent, to conversations, to mutual visits. 

They want to hear what you have to say about Faith, Jesus, God, the church, the world.

Why do we miss that our relationship is the First and most important EVENT that most people want to attend?

We get the cart before the horse.  Church attendance is the result of healthy redemptive relationships. 

The goal is not to invite people to events, or to church. It is to invite them to see Jesus and God's fingerprints on their lives, RIGHT NOW!

Once they get a glimmer of desire to know Jesus, and actually like some of His followers (You), the church assemblies may then interest them. 

The "priest-hood-of-all-believers". 

BE their "priest"  be their "minister"- do your job! 

Stop trying to pass the buck off on someone else they don't know or respect yet. It does not work.  

And if they see Jesus beauty and accept him as their leader to love, trust and obey, then Jesus will add them to the church. Not before hand are they added to the church.

So - Consider Stop harassing people to attend your church events, over and over again. Try inviting them to a relational event. Coffee with you, friendship with you.

The attention was all on him, not the mother and child. There is nothing he has to say that is more important than what he said to that mother. His gospel of self importance was proclaimed more than Jesus. No one can hear Jesus after that. Id have got up and invited that family to dinner, and prayed for them and love them. I'd leave a church like that EVERY TIME! Because there are better leaders than that.

The stories of learning to dance. WOW! LOL

Oh, don't pass over this podcast. 

I am 250 lbs and I tried a few classes. And it was a blast! 

Trust me dance class is a great evening out.  And So Reasonably priced at $10.  

On the podcast today we have Rod and Laura Weatherbie, of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, sharing great stories, as well as their passion and love for couples dancing.

The purpose of these classes are to dance for the joy of it, fun, exercise, in a stress free environment.  

It isn't a Bar Scene! It's a wholesome, and well organized event for learning.  

They are not catering to hard core professionals, but normal every day people, like you and ME,  who would like to try and learn how to dance, and improve their skills.  

There are Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.   

I am a beginner, and I've enjoyed every session.  I joined their half day "Hustle Boot Camp". What a great physical workout too. Just a great evening out, as you move and learn something new. I Highly recommend you try a few lasses.  But, at the very least here this podcast out, and share it with someone. Might score you a few points by surprise.
