As time has passed, Nakba Day (lit. “Day of Catastrophe”) has become the most actively performed ritual of the Palestinian myth, a myth that has assured for itself the most essential support of the West, a ritual that provokes the hatred that has been aroused throughout the Muslim world.
One of the hallmarks of the Nakba is the alleged massacre at Deir Yassin in April 1948. In The Massacre That Never Was, a scholarly work of engrossing narrative and exhaustive research, Professor Eliezer Tauber proves that no massacre of Palestinians took place in the village of Deir Yassin in 1948, exploding a myth that has been the cornerstone of the Nakba and the Palestinian narrative for seven decades.
