Basilicata is a region in the south of Italy. It is not so famous but it can give so much surprises. There is a place in Basilicata where you can find beautiful mountains, like "little copy" (very little...) of the Dolomites, adventurous activities and delicious cuisine. All within easy reach of the sea and famous attractions such as Matera. Discover with me this particular place that I discovered while traveling through a new unknown Italian trade.

There are many ways to get to know a country. I have never followed tour guides and I have never relied on a tour operator. I always preferred to get lost on the roads of my country, to discover things randomly and not because they were part of an itinerary. I don’t like to know what I’m going to discover tomorrow. I prefer surprises. And very often surprises have been exceptional. I met people who became friends and places that became home. Whether this is a strange tour guide or a simple travel story, depends on you.
