The second to last game of the regular season is upon us, and Jesup will close out at home for Senior Night against Iowa City Regina. With heavy rains in the state of Iowa this season it has caused some changes is schedules and the way teams practice.

Coming off of Homecoming 2018 and record rainfall for the month of September Coach Tim Sauer and his J-Hawks head to high ranked Dike-New Hartford with three games left on the season.

J-Hawks continue to build the foundation for the season and the future.

Nate Clayberg and Coach Timmy take an evening tour of Jesup and learn that potato salad and Chex Mix has been bootlegged across state lines for the Sauer family. And Big Tim wants to get on the microphone next time down.

The J-Hawks head into Homecoming 2018 against North Linn this week (9/28/18). Nate Clayberg reviews last weeks loss at South Hardin, and the success the squad is having with some young personnel. The interview does a 180, and does not involve the Jesup Police, this time.

Although Nate Clayberg refers to Coach Tim Sauer's deep thoughts as a Jack Handey reference, he meant to make a Stuart Smalley reference from Saturday Night Live.

It is a building time in the season for the first year head coach of Jesup Football. 0-3 at this point in the year, and working through different players at all grade levels on the field. Pushing players to give their best on the practice field to be on the game field.

This week is the second home game of the year with BCLUW Comets in Jesup for a 7:00 pm Kick off.

Changing the culture is a process each and every day for the Jesup Football program. Getting kids to buy into a system that will show success little by little is the goal. Coach Tim Sauer and Nate Clayberg work through that process and discuss what is actually the color teal and the swiss army knife of vegetables.
