On today's episode of the J-WAT Podcast, producers Alex Watson and Tim Drake catch up on all of their travels on the festival circuit, and talk about the festival circuit so far. We've been having an incredible time taking "Demonetize" around the world, and the festivals and audiences have been amazing! In just the past week, we have taken the film to Norway, Salt Lake City, and Virginia! Over the next few weeks, we will be in St. George, Chicago, Atlanta, and our big Los Angeles Premiere! It's been a whirlwind of a time and we couldn't be more grateful. Hear about our experiences and the hardware we've been picking up along the way.

After the success of "Obsession", we've noticed a lot of memes going around taking credit away from Inde Navarrette as if she just stumbled her way into the newly announced X-Men casting, despite having years of work behind her, in incredibly popular shows and standout roles. We talked about all of the work that it takes to get to that level and false perceptions that the Hollywood media and social media lead people to believe.

While box office numbers are at an all-time high, people seem to watch movies with one big intent, to immediately go online to criticize it. It seems like such a horrible way to consume media when you are more eager to give it a rating than just enjoy something for what it is. While criticism is allowed, and everybody has the right to their opinion, is it getting in the way of how you consume media? Listen to our discussion!

On today's episode of the J-WAT Podcast, producers Alex Watson and Tim Drake sit down to talk about all that has been happening within J-WAT and the industry. Buckle up, this episode runs long! Since the last episode, we have gone to Pocatello, Idaho for the Spark of Madness Film Festival where "Demonetize" won Best Screenplay! We talk about our experience at Spark of Madness, as well as Tim's trip to the Museum of Clean in Idaho. Currently we are enroute to Cleveland, Ohio for the International Horror Hotel Film Festival! And then immediately joinung the Chattanooga Film Festival as well! Two festivals in one week! We're honored to be a part of these festivals and absolutely loving it!

We also went to CineGear over at Universal this past week to check out some of the up and coming film gear and try out some new cameras and software.

We discuss the rise in the demand of independent horror and "Obessesion" and "Backrooms" have absolutely destroyed the box office over the past month.

And lastly, we talked about the controversy that has come up around Crew Equity around the enormous success of "Obsession". We are very in favor of finding a way to make Crew Equity possible on all of our films, and we discuss what that entails.

On today's episode, J-WAT producers Alex Watson and Tim Drake sit down to talke with some newly made Panic Fest friends, Charlie Robb and Douglas Tawn of ROBBTAWN Productions, and the co-directors of the film, "Loner". Loner is described as the British Office meets Blair Witch and was one of our favorite films at Panic Fest. We were fortunate to spend some time with Charlie while we were in Kansas City, and were thrilled to finally meet Doug on the podcast.

We talked with Charlie and Doug about how the film came together, the challenge of co-directing, the practical effects, folk horror, find the perfect location for the film, and so much more.

The premiere was unlike anything we ever could've anticipated and we couldn't have loved out time at Panic Fest more.
