Today we scratch the surface of a discussion on maintaining our identities in close relationships. Of course, t’s natural to compromise, adapt, and grow as we learn how to interact in our close relationships. Ultimately, only you get to decide which values are foundational to you, and which areas you can compromise. It’s a delicate balance, and one we want to be intentional about paying attention to.

In today’s episode, Jackie asks us, “how do we use IDENTITY to describe ourselves?” And then, what happens when things change? Both of us are rooted in Christian faith, so we believe that strong foundation does not change. Our identity is first with Christ, as we:

Are created in God’s image;

The old is gone and the new is here;

God’s mercies are new each morning; and

He chose ALL of us for this!

So we remind ourselves of these truths by training our thoughts and our actions.
