The Jackie Rae Show

Segment 1 - If We Stand With #IndiaArie

For far too long #JoeRogan has been getting paid despite the fact that he is often racist. The good thing is, he does not insult our intelligence by apologizing for what he clearly feels in his heart. But once again there is one among us, who has decided to take a stand against the platform that supports Joe Rogan and his platform. We need to stand with her and follow suit.

Segment 2 - If We Stand With #BrianFlores

Here we are again. A Black Man in the NFL is taking a stand against the widespread racism in the NFL. The last time this happened Black Players in the NFL showed no backbone, players like Dez Bryant decided to shuck and jive for an owner who issued racist statements, and only a handful of players stood with a man who was trying to change the system.

This can’t keep happening. If we are going to refuse to make the sacrifice and stand with those who are trying to force change, then we can’t keep marching, crying, and praying when change never comes.

Segment 3 - If we Stand with #WhoopieGoldberg

Like it or not the woman was not wrong. I am a Black Woman. I can also be Jewish. Why? Because being Jewish is about religion not about race. But, when you control the narrative you can control the message. Whoopie’s suspension has nothing to do with her being incorrect in her statements. It’s about those who hold her job, and therefore her career and income in their hands holding the power. There is power in numbers. When you have the numbers you can dictate what is right and what is wrong. If we as Black People decided to join our numbers, we could create our own narrative.

Segment 1 - Is the “Bad B..ch” narrative detrimental to Black Women? Event Creator, Influencer, and Entrepreneur Khrissy B (https://www.instagram.com/iamkhrissyb/), as well as radio personality & host on 102.3 KJLH FM Kameron Green (https://www.instagram.com/lbradiochick/) join to discuss how we as Black Women are perceived.

Segment 2 - 25:40 - Can we stop blaming LeBron James for the Laker's downfall. Even with missing games, LeBron is currently the second-highest scorer in the NBA. He needs just over 200 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and become the NBA’s All-Time Leading scorer. Without question, he has one of the highest basketball IQs we’ve ever seen.

Yes, he put this team together. But even Albert Einstein made a mistake now and then. It is time for Rob Pelinka to set up, evaluate the team, and make the necessary changes independent of LeBron’s opinion.

Segment 3 - 33:40 - Durning the pandemic artist Toney Designz(https://www.instagram.com/toneydesignz/) painted a beautiful picture of me. He joins to talk about his inspiration, his art, and how you can commission artwork for your home or business.

Segment 1 - There are 8 Head Coaching jobs open in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins, Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Denver Broncos. The question is, how many of those will be filled by Black Coaches.

Segment 2 - Jeremy “Gumbo” Christian (https://www.instagram.com/gumbeezylove/) has an amazing story. From having a successful music career at Clark Atlanta to ending up on Wild’N Out. But with that success, he has never been afraid of hard work. Working with a temp agency, he put up street lights and helped build a Hallmark store. He says he was never a comedian but was doing comedy. In 2020, that all subsided when he had a major stroke.

He talks not only of his comeback but his continued success and faith.

Segment 1

DeShaun Watson and his girlfriend, Jilly Anais, celebrated her birthday and the new year in style. Now, the couple is traveling in Europe looking blissfully in love. Meanwhile, the 22 women who have accused Watson of sexual assault are still waiting in the wings.

One accuser penned an open letter to Anais, saying she should distance herself from Watson immediately and, that galavanting around the world with Watson is a slap in the face of his victims.

The accuser also points out there she has no proof but believes that her testimony, hurt feelings, and broken trust are proof enough. While she is completely wrong in that sentiment, she is correct on one point. Assuming the two have a relationship where monogamy is expected, Jilly Anais should leave DeShaun Watson today.

Segment 2

Chris Clark https://www.instagram.com/_ck2k/ joins to talk about the Saints almost making it to the playoffs in the post Drew Brees Era.

Plus, once again, the NFL is proving that they have no intention of ending their long-standing tradition of shunning Black Head Coaches. But how can we fix it?

Segment 3

A school in New York sends students home with a Spanish homework assignment where they must translate the phrases “You (friendly) are Mexican and ugly" and "You (politely) are pretty and American."

Once again, there is an investigation. When will we stop giving passes and demand swift action?
