The second semester is here! The students are back and Pastor Don is teaching Church History. In the studio this week Wade is joined by alumni Stevie Shogren. Stevie lets us know what he has been up to since he graduated in May. Next he shares how he got into memorizing the Bible and helpful strategies to maximize retention.

Memorization tips:

-Reading through the passage 20-30 times to begin.  This gets you familiar with the passage.

-Read out loud to yourself.  

-Next go verse by verse.  As the words become familiar add more verses.

-Write down the first word of each verse.  Then take away letters as you get better

-Know why you are memorizing the passage.  This will help with motivation.
