Ricky Stafford is from Orem, Utah and was diagnosed with leukemia as a freshman in high school. Ricky has a rare form of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) called Philadelphia Chromosome Positive ALL (Ph+ALL). After chemotherapy and ponatinib, Ricky was in remission, then two years later, Ricky’s cancer relapsed. More severe chemo, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant followed, but now Ricky is in remission once again. Dr. Margaret Pearle is the Vice Chair of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. David King is an Acute Care Surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital Trauma Center. Dr. Kimberly Yonkers is a Professor of Psychiatry, Epidemiology, and Reproductive Services at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Robert Ostroff is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University and is the Director of the Mood Disorders Unit at Yale Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Rodrigo Hasbun is a Professor of Infectious Diseases at McGovern UTHealth. Dr. Hasbun obtained his MD at the Autonomous University of Central America in Costa Rica. He received his Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. Dr. John Krystal is the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and the Robert L. McNeil, Jr Professor of Translational Research at the Yale University School of Medicine. He received his BA in behavioral sciences at the University of Chicago. He received his MD and completed his residency at Yale. He is the Chief of Psychiatry at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is the Director of the NIAAA Center for the Translational Neuroscience of Alcoholism and the Clinical Neuroscience Division of he VA National Center for PTSD. Some of his awards include the ACNP Joel Elle’s Award, the Anna-Monika Foundation Depression Research Prize, and the Paul Hoch Research Award among others. He has published over 500 papers and reviews on schizophrenia, alcoholism, PTSD, and depression. Dr. Krystal and his colleagues discovered a new treatment for depression named Spravato, an esketamine drug that modulates the neurotransmitter glutamate. Dr. Peter Fisher is a urologist with Summit Urology Group in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his MD from the University of Utah, and completed his urologic residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fisher started the robotic surgery programs at St. Marks Hospital (SMH) and Lone Peak Hospital. He was the Chief of Surgery at SMH from 2013-2015. Dr. Fisher is currently the Director of Urology and Men’s Health at SMH, and directs the ZERO Prostate Cancer Annual Run to support prostate cancer patients and families. Dr. James Armitage is a professor of internal medicine and medical oncologist/hematologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He received his undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Nebraska, and completed his internal medicine residency there as well. He completed his fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Iowa. Dr. Armitage developed and directed the bone marrow transplant programs at Iowa and UNMC. At UNMC he’s served as vice chair of the Department of Medicine, chief of the Division of Oncology/Hematology, chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, and dean of the College of Medicine. Dr. Armitage has served as president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT). He has authored more than 600 articles and 100 book chapters. He currently holds the position of the Joe Shapiro Professor of Medicine.
