Jake & Ruby unfortunately bring up politics in this episode, but promise it will be the last time they ever talk about the subject even though they are like really really bad at keeping promises. The two discuss all things NYFW, from Marc Jacobs to September 11th, and introduce a new segment titled “Once Upon a Fashion Week,” where friends Natasha Stagg, Steven Phillips Horst and Kyle Luu share their fashion week memories from times of yore.

Jake & Ruby are so excited about their first episode that they can barely stay on topic, but manage to touch on a few subjects without talking over each other too much.

Topics include the Godfather trilogy, depression (great), their Marc Jacobs campaign, that apartment building that use to be a jail, a really really boring Robert Altman documentary and more.
