The Jameis Winston Baker Mayfield option: Going all-in with Mayfield in 2022 without an extension

A new podcast series starts today at the Orange and Brown Talk Podcast. Over the next several days, the crew will examine all the options the Browns could have with Baker Mayfield in 2022, not only when it comes to playing him, but what kind of other quarterbacks they may or may not surround him with.

To start, Dan Labbe, Ashley Bastock, Mary Kay Cabot, Scott Patsko and Doug Lesmerises look at the Jameis Winston option, which it seems like the Browns are doing. That's keeping Mayfield as their QB in 2022 without having another real option on the roster. The crew discusses the pros, cons and history of that option; why it might fit the Browns; and then they rate how much they like this option. They'll do the same with four other options over the next several days.
