We interrupt our monthly theme to bring you: The Jane Collective. This episode contains talk about abortion and harm to women who had to self abort. Listener discretion is advised.
In light of Roe v Wade being overturned, we thought it was important to share this episode with all of our listeners. This was originally a patron's only episode. The Jane Collective formed in the late sixties as a mutual aid network in Chicago committed to providing women with safe abortions, even if doing so wasn't legal. It was an amazing network of women activists that likely saved hundreds of lives. Join us as we talk about this group, the importance of freedom of choice and bodily autonomy and how anti abortion laws are violence.
