Dr. Youcef Abdelli's Bio

Dr. Youcef Abdelli comes from an extensive aerospace background in electric aircraft programs (ZeroAvia , Amazon Prime Air, magniX , Liebherr, Airbus, Safran…). His expertise in aircraft electrical systems, generation and distribution , power electronics hardware, software and propulsion systems.

Before ZeroAvia , he worked for Amazon Prime Air, where he was the principal and chief engineer leading the propulsion and battery systems department for the drone division. Prior to Amazon, he worked for magniX where he led electric propulsion system development for current product lines and head of the power electronics department.

He developed an industrial aerospace-grade power electronics system that was integrated in a successful flights test Beaver in Dec 2019 with Harbor Air and with a Caravan in Moses lack on 2020.

He was one of the key members of Propulsion special conditions establishment with the FAA. Prior to that, he worked for Liebherr aerospace, where he was the chief engineer and power electronics senior expert fellow, working on different successful aerospace (Civil and military) and automotive (Fuel cell electric compressors) projects.

At ZeroAvia, he is the CTO and chief engineer for propulsion system, he is in charge of the development of an industry-leading aerospace-grade electric propulsion system , technology road map and strategy – He joined recently JetPerfect foundation board of director with the emission to develop clean energy for aviation and aerospace.

Amy's Advice

You can do it is my biggest advice. I just think entrepreneurship is so special. I think it's the heart of capitalism. I think it is the best way to have equity. If you want to see change in the world, if you actually want to see resources going to different places. If you want to take the resources out of the hands of the few and distribute them to the masses. If you want to see women design stuff, like do different things and step out of just a domestic role into a different space.

Then create a space that really is equitable for different kinds of people, different races, different ages. There needs to be entrepreneurs of those different races and ages, creating things for these populations. I think, if you have an idea, if you want to pursue it. It will make the world a better place. It's hard, it's harder if you're not maybe the traditional white rich, successful male. But I think things are shifting and the more that you're willing to pioneer some of these changes, I think the world will be a better place.

Terri's Bio

Terri's educational background includes undergraduate work in Physics and Environmental Sciences, and graduate studies in the Biomedical Sciences resulting in a PhD focusing on receptor biology in the brain.

Her studies and subsequent academic work fueled her passion for communicating science, specifically neuroscience, to a wide range of audiences, from non-scientific to highly technical. She has over 20 years of experience delivering presentations and training sessions to a variety of audiences and has held positions in both academia and industry.

Terri worked at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, where she was the liaison between the users of the Allen Brain Atlas resources and the scientific and technical teams that created them. Her role had her manage all aspects of outreach, live and online trainings, online teaching resources such as webinars and video tutorials, documentation associated with the resources and technical and scientific support via the web portal.

After the Allen Institute, Terri broadened her outreach work to include working with big data and helping people wrap their brains around data science, she recently worked on a SaaS graph database platform working with clients on mapping and visualizing their complex ecosystems. Most recently she has been consulting with people committed to finding unique and often hidden solutions to their complex ecosystems using ML and AI algorithms.

In addition to her consulting business, she has been diving into the world of psychedelics and is interested in humanistic approaches to creating a world where love wins, transforming our conversations about death and dying, and is on her own unique spiritual journey.

Hi, I'm Stephanie! I've been an entrepreneur in the tech space for about 7 years, and before that worked full time as a low level graphics engineer. I have a business called Binomial where myself and my co-founder Rich sell compression software to tech businesses to boost their app or website's performance-- we also are the spec editors of industry-wide image standards and we host a very popular open source product called Basis Universal.

In addition to specializing in business, sales, and low level graphics optimization, I also have a background in computer art, having done technical art installations for large companies, and occasionally still sell my art in my own business.

Vlada's Bio

My name is Vlada Shestakova and I am 34 years old. I was born in Moscow, USSR (currently Russia), and spent my childhood in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of 7, I returned to Moscow and lived there until I was 20. At 17, I was accepted to the Moscow State Academy of Law – the top Law School in the country. When I was 20, I dropped out and moved to London to work as a project management analyst for Clifford Chance.

A year later I decided to return home and joined Adidas as an Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Adidas in Russia. Shortly after my return to Moscow I went back to Law school and graduated three years later. From 2012 until 2018 I dedicated my time to becoming a great corporate lawyer as I worked for Abbott Labs and Eli Lilly.

I became an experienced corporate warrior and met great people, but all that time I was yearning for more. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs it only felt natural to become one, so in 2018 with the help of my husband, I started my first business and a few months later my second business which became my first success story. In 2020 I moved to the US; one week before Covid. I worked hard to manage my business through covid, but two years later I realized that it no longer serves my purpose and I decided to close the business. Immigration and covid became points of substantial personal growth.

I got an opportunity to slow down, rethink my path and start doing something that has always been so important to me – serving people. Over the last 1,5 years, I've been training extensively to finally call myself a trauma-informed wellness coach for highly sensitive people (HSP). My journey to becoming a coach and breathwork practitioner began with my own struggles as a highly sensitive person. Back then, I did not know that I was an HSP and battled with severe anxiety, panic attacks, and fatigue, thinking that something was profoundly wrong with my health.

Going to public places and network events throughout my corporate career was a disaster. Despite my confident appearance, I could not shake off feeling overwhelmed in social situations. I was anxious and permanently tired. Burnout became my best friend. Only after I discovered the concept of highly sensitive people, and everything started to make sense. I finally understood why I had been struggling for so long. Along the way, I discovered the power of breathwork to help us release stuck emotions, clear our minds, and connect with our inner selves.

I realized I wanted to share this practice with others. Through my personal experience, I felt called to help highly sensitive people navigate their journeys with greater ease and understanding. That's why I became a certified coach and breathwork practitioner specializing in working with highly sensitive people. Being highly sensitive is a gift. I am passionate about helping my clients understand their highly sensitive trait and how to use it as a strength rather than a weakness.

I help them develop tools to manage overwhelm, anxiety, and stress and learn to honor their needs and boundaries. Through breathwork, I guide them to connect with their inner wisdom and intuition, allowing them to tap into their unique gifts and live more fulfilling lives.

I can give you this little technique. I think anyone who's listening to the podcast might benefit from it. if you're feeling anxious, or if you feel like you want to focus. But you just cannot stop doing things and you need to concentrate. A good method to ground yourself would be just to sit straight and feel the support underneath like feel the chair.

See if there is any tension, tension in your belly. If there is just relax it. Just make sure that you're sitting upright, and just relax Relax the shoulders and relax the jaw. Just take a deep breath. For a lot of people that would really help them to kind of focus and get their shit together.
