John Dennehy, a Second Tenor (T2), in Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), joins Jason John for a heartfelt conversation about grief, life transitions, and singing and acting. Highlights include how feeling profound sadness in NYC and receiving positive feedback regarding his acting career in Los Angeles, led to a move to the west coast, John’s advice for dealing with grief, experiences he’s had with his mom’s spirit, losing his brother to AIDS, and why he calls being a member in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles a “tonic”. Additionally, John shares concert ideas he has for GMCLA, what type of acting roles he would cast Jason in, and then the two play “The Word Association Game”.
GMCLA performs Sugar Plum Fairies at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles on Dec 14th and 15th. Tickets are available at www.GMCLA.org.
