Just as a wedding ring symbolizes a commitment, baptism signifies our new life in Christ. It's not about earning salvation but responding to God's grace. Today, as we remember what Jesus did, it's time to respond. Whether it's surrendering your life, obeying in baptism, or coming back to God, the call is clear—to take that step of faith.

So, what's your response today? Don't wait for tomorrow. Jesus made His move on the cross; now it's your turn. If you're ready to take that next step, whether it's surrender, baptism, or returning to God, come forward. Let's respond with our lives to what Christ has done for us.

Have you ever received a gift that was beautifully wrapped and presented with love? It made you feel valued and cherished, right? In the same way, God wants us to give Him our best, not just leftovers. Just like the man in the sermon who gave two gifts—one with care and one without—how we approach God matters.

Both are essential for the Church to function smoothly.

Step by step, piece by piece, we often try to skip ahead, only to end up with something wobbly and incomplete. Just like our faith journey, God calls us to take each step in obedience, even when it doesn't make sense. Let's talk about all the Easter and Spring break memories!

In a world full of empty promises, we often wonder, "Does God love me?" The answer is found on the cross, where Jesus showed His love through the ultimate sacrifice. John 12:20-33 reveals Jesus' willingness to die for us, proving that real love always comes at a cost.

The cross wasn't a tragedy; it was a strategy to display God's immense love for us (Isaiah 53:5-6). Through His sacrifice, Jesus defeated sin and conquered our enemy, offering us eternal life (Hebrews 2:14-15). His love calls us to surrender, obey, and follow Him daily (Philippians 2:8, Luke 9:23).

Today, as we reflect on the final answer found in Jesus' death, we are invited to respond to this love. Romans 5:8 reminds us that God demonstrated His love for us while we were still sinners. Will we reject or receive this love?

Let's look to the cross as the receipt of God's love for us and choose to follow Him. The invitation stands: accept His love, embrace His sacrifice, and find hope in eternal life. Don't question His love—just look to the cross.

Upon the Cross, we find the essence of our faith - not an optional add-on, but a necessary remedy for our brokenness. Just as Nicodemus sought Jesus in the night, we too must seek Him as the only solution to our sin. John 3:14-21 reminds us that Jesus, lifted up like the bronze snake, offers eternal life to all who believe.

Sin is serious, taking us further than we want to go. Love is costly, shown by God giving His Son for us. Justice must be satisfied, and Jesus is the only way. The cross confronts our hearts, demanding surrender and humility.

The cross wasn't optional - it was essential for our redemption. Today, make it personal. Stop trying to fix yourself and step into the light of Jesus. Embrace the cross, for it was necessary for your salvation. Will you respond and make the cross essential in your life? Let's accept the invitation to come to Jesus and find true healing. #UponTheCross #EssentialSalvation

Have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions, like the beautiful but empty living room in your house? In John 2, Jesus confronts a similar situation in the temple. The place meant for encountering God had become a marketplace, full of religious performance and profit. Jesus, in righteous anger, flipped the tables to restore the true purpose of worship.

Just as Jesus disrupted the broken system of the temple, He desires to disrupt any empty rituals in our lives. He doesn't want our attendance without our hearts. He wants a genuine relationship with us. Motion without devotion isn't true worship.

Psalm 51 reminds us that God desires a broken spirit, not just outward sacrifices. Routine can't replace reverence. Jesus came to restore our relationship with the Father, not just our religious activities. He wants our hearts, not just our actions.

Today, let Jesus clear the space in your heart. Let Him overturn any barriers between you and God. The same Savior who flipped the tables is the one who invites you closer. Will you respond to His invitation today?

Have you ever felt like you needed to hide your brokenness? Like you had to pretend everything was perfect when deep down, you were hurting? We all have. But here’s the beautiful truth: God does His best work in our broken places. In a recent sermon, we explored the concept of the "Suffering Savior." Jesus, our Savior, didn’t come to conquer with power and might. He came to suffer, die, and rise again to redeem us from our brokenness.

In Mark 8:31-33, Jesus reveals to His disciples that He must suffer, be rejected, and die. This was not the victorious king they expected, but the Savior they needed. Just like the disciples, we often want victory without surrender, strength without weakness. But Jesus shows us a different way—a way of sacrifice, love, and redemption.

Today, you are invited to come to the Suffering Savior with your brokenness. He carried the cross so you wouldn’t have to carry your sin. Let go of guilt, pain, and brokenness. Surrender to Him in faith and find healing in His love. No one is too broken to come to Jesus.
