When you don't have a lot of money to spend on food, you cut some corners. And that can result in families having plenty of calories--high-calorie foods are cheap--but little quality nutrition. Access, Inc., the community action agency for Jackson County, offers training in gardening to low-income families... so with a little bit of yard space, they can grow their own nutritious foods. Another six-week class begins November 4th at the Medford library.
