Hi I'm Jayme Jefferson and I am a professional helper. I was born and raised in Colorado. I've spent countless hours working with youth and families in various settings. It lead me to getting a degree in Human services in 2018 upon graduating from the University of Northern Colorado. From there I found myself wrapped up in the world of child welfare. I enjoy what I do and am passionate because I see youth as a key to the future. It truly is through community and love that youth are able to thrive and do well. I'm a firm believer in it taking a village to raise children and want to be apart of as many villages as I can to help, advocate, mentor and support those youth and families in need and to see them be successful.

Tamekia D. Young is a Philadelphia native with over 20 years experience in the mental health field. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from West Chester University and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Tamekia is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. She has spent most of her career working with children, adolescents, and families. Tamekia was a Clinical Director for 7 years, and enjoys mentoring emerging professionals. She is a proponent for the revolution of racial justice and a LGBTQ+ Ally.

Yamilet is a former foster child working on becoming a future foster care leader. She was first place in foster care at five years old and was in and out of the system, until aging out at twenty-one. She received a BA in psychology and just finished her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Yamilet is becoming the change she wants to see in the world, with her YouTube channel, which assist people with motivation, helping, and awareness. She is also a resident counselor helping other foster youth deal with the everyday challenges of being part of the system. Currently, an advocate for foster youth, mental health, and at risk youth. Working on building a non-profit for teenaged kids in the foster care system

Mike Williams experienced life in the foster care system and faced significant hardships and obstacles throughout his life. His birth mother who abused drugs the entire pregnancy with him then at 12 yrs old had to make the choice to drop him off to DCF, living in 30+ homes while in foster care, to being homeless within the first 3 years of aging out of the system. But, rather than becoming a statistic, he chose to be a light of hope, belief, and inspiration. Mike is the CEO & Founder of My Jumpstart, LLC, an organization started to provide experiential learning services that develop young adults to be confident, strategic, and resilient through their transition to independence. In 2017 My Jumpstart launched a statewide youth conference called “My Jumpstart to the Real World” and ended up being launched in 6 cities across Florida. Mike has also helped shaped many of Florida’s Laws and assisted with the design/development of My JumpVault, a program that’s being implemented statewide across Florida, which provides instant access to health and personal records to youth in foster care, foster parents, & social workers.

Kimberly, born and raised until most of her young adult life lived in Brooklyn, NY! She’s creative in many ways...write poems, songs and rhymes, and creating something from nothing. What Kimberly doesn’t enjoy all of the time but loves to do is challenge herself. She believes when you challenge yourself, you see the creativeness within you, the box you stepped out of, and endless possibilities. The process may not always seem to be the best part, but it turns out it is!

In 1998, nine year old Toni Reynolds was placed into the Texas foster care system with three of her siblings. Toni lived in 15 foster and group homes before she found her forever home with her adopted mother Cecelia Criner. As Toni matriculated through the Texas foster care system, and after being adopted she faced multiple behavioral challenges, that landed her in a Juvenile Detention center for runaways where she became a three month resident. Due to Toni's experiences in the foster care system, and Texas juvenile department, Toni found her love for youth development and advocacy work for foster youth and alumni. In 2011, Toni graduated from Tougaloo College with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and in 2014 with a Master's degree in Public Administration from Howard University. While attending Howard University, Toni had the opportunity to work in the office of Congresswoman Karen Bass where she would experience child welfare and foster care policy issues from a different viewpoint. Toni participated in the Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day two consecutive years with the expectation that she would assist in amplifying the voices of foster youth by having them share their stories with their designated Congress member. During her time on Capitol Hill Congresswoman Karen Bass highlighted Toni's RARE success story which gained her the exposure to work with other foster and adoption agencies in the District of Columbia and Maryland area. After Toni's time on Capitol Hill, she then went on to pioneer a White House Initiative where she was given the opportunity to work with some of Washington DC's most vulnerable youth and young adults. She connected over 50 youth to mental health services, employment, education, and an overall healthier life. In 2019, Toni was appointed as Congressional Foster Care Delegate by the National Foster Youth Institute. As a Delegate, she represented thousands of current and alumni foster youth across the nation. She met with members of congress such as Congresswoman Karen Bass and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to share her foster care experience and ideas to help change the child welfare system. Toni's passion and proven work for youth development has given her the platform to change the lives of youth around the DC area and potentially around the world. Toni has helped hundreds of youth find their voice and purpose through self esteem building workshops, mentoring, and life skills activities. In 2019, Toni founded T.C. Mentoring and Consulting LLC located in Washington, D.C. The companies mission is to help at risk youth and young adults find their path in life. The youth are connected to supportive programs, and mentors that will positively change the trajectory of their lives. Toni's network includes a variety of "game changers" such as politicians, entrepreneurs, educators, entertainers, and more. She will be able to connect the youth with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and the opportunity to create their own RARE success story. ​Toni enjoys going into high schools, colleges and universities sharing her very challenging but RARE success story. Her audiences have included at risk youth, future social workers, government officials, child welfare agencies, current and potential foster families. She truly believes in the powerful benefits of our youth being connected to mentors and their community. These components are essential for building the foundation which is the ultimate key to a child's success.

I Kellina is a young entrepreneur who loves to help people with their personal growth and educate others about the deaf community. Little do people know Kellina is actually a hard of hearing person. She became deaf at the age of 4. She recently graduated with a psychology degree and is now starting her own online coaching business while finishing working on her book!
