The Disappearance of Claudia Lawrence With Detective Jon Wedger

On 18 March 2009, Claudia Elizabeth Lawrence, a 35-year-old chef at the University of York's Goodricke College, was last seen leaving work in Heworth, York. She was later spotted near her home and spoke to both of her parents by phone that evening. Despite appearing in good spirits, she failed to report for work the next day and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police later treated the case as a suspected murder, with multiple individuals arrested and subsequently released without charge. Lawrence's fate remains unknown.

Paige Doherty, a 15 year-old schoolgirl from Clydebank, Scotland, was brutally murdered on March 19, 2016, by deli owner John Leatham in a frenzied unprovoked knife attack. She was stabbed hundreds of times after entering the shop to buy breakfast. Leatham was sentenced to life with a minimum of 27 years, later reduced to 23.
