On the Thursday show, we begin with the coaching carousel starting to spin in men’s college basketball. Joe has a problem with the verbiage the media is presenting about Jim Boeheim’s departure from Syracuse. Was he fired? Did he retire on his own? Things are murky there. What isn’t murky is Patrick Ewing was let go by his alma mater Georgetown, which was not a surprise. Then we talk NFL, as the Jets believe they can get Aaron Rodgers to come to the Meadowlands. Danny Dimes got paid a ridiculous amount of money as well, and Joe thinks he was overpaid by about $10 million. Joe turns into the curmudgeon as he talks about what he hates about Daylight Saving Time, and it’s guaranteed to be two thigs that you never thought of. Then Joe talks about a conversation he had on Twitter today that led to a FOMO-like situation about wanting to go to a college basketball game in Atlantic City this weekend, but hates that the game starts so late. Joe was asked about Ja Morant’s situation in Colorado, and he basically reviews what he thinks about the whole situation now that Colorado police won’t charge him with a crime, though the NBA could still suspend him. Then Joe talks about the Shawn Kemp drive by shooting in suburban Seattle. And in less serious news, Kevin Durant sprained his ankle last night in warmups and is out a few weeks. Then Joe veers off from the sports world talking about an incident that occurred on Southwest Airlines where a fight took place and brings it back to Ja Morant’s gun story.
