In today’s third hour, John and Gordy share remarks from various officials on the Minneapolis ICE occupation. Border Czar Tom Homan and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have predictably opposed takes on the situation.

As long time listeners will know, John has difficulty remembering nicknames. One of his neighbors calls in with some recommendations of new nicknames for President Trump.

President Trump announced that he may employ more tariffs against any countries that do not support his plan to annex Greenland. He is truly earning John’s new nickname for him: Mad King Don. 

John and Gordy take a few calls with thoughts on the Minneapolis ICE situation. Some callers say that we all need to comply with law enforcement officials, claiming that George Floyd and Nicole Good would still be alive if they had done so. The show addresses these claims, reminding all of us that even if these individuals were disobeying law enforcement, the response was incredibly violent and overblown.

John’s AI-powered glasses have finally arrived! Huzzah! For today’s show, he left them at home to charge, but he and Gordy chat about what John’s first question should be for his new AI assistant. 

At the bottom of the hour, BustED Pencils Co-host Dr. Tim Slekar joins the guys to talk about Wisconsin’s poor funding for special education. Legislators around our state struggle to get anywhere near 40% of the funding they’re supposed to have for their students, and it has affected Gordy’s family personally. 

As we kick off today’s third hour, John updates us on some of President Trump’s attempts at global conquest in Venezuela and Greenland. Our president continues to demonstrate that he feels he is entitled to own the entire world.

Over in the UK, the government has banned AI-generated porn due to its frequent non-consensual use. Twitter/X’s AI platform, Grok, is so highly intertwined with the social media platform that the whole site is in danger of being banned across the pond. Elon Musk announced that he is geo-locking this feature of Grok, but we have our concerns as to whether this will meaningfully stop these images from being created.

At the bottom of the hour, we are joined by Dr. Jim Conway, Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Wisconsin Divisions of Infectious Disease & Global Pediatrics. As an expert on vaccines, he weighs in on the CDC’s new childhood vaccination guidelines. In short, they’re bunk. A wealth of scientific studies support the efficacy of these shots, and Wisconsin health officials are recommending that citizens ignore the CDC changes.

After a conversation about sandhill cranes, we chat with Steve, a friend of a friend who has lived in Minneapolis all his life. He brings us an on-the-ground look at what it’s like to experience these ICE raids. According to Steve, the situation is much worse than the media has been reporting. Thousands of poorly-trained ICE agents are going car to car and door to door pulling people out and detaining them. Whatever happens, we should all be ready to help out our friends and neighbors, whether that means providing food and shelter, informing them of their rights, or any other kind of support.

During the show this afternoon, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison held a press conference on ICE actions in the state. He characterizes the federal ICE presence as an invasion and seeks legal recourse. 

In these times of chaos, it’s easy to feel like there’s nothing we can do as individuals. Even if the Trump administration attempts to stop the midterm elections, we can still vote with our wallets, and it really does make a difference. We take a few calls from listeners around the state offering hope and guidance. 

Former wrestler and Minnesota Governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura has been out of the political sphere for some time now, but ICE raids in Minneapolis have spurred him to make some spirited comments to reporters. We listen to his take on the issue.

CNN’s Jake Tapper interviewed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem on why she so quickly jumped to conclusions, and her answers were less than satisfactory. Our hosts walk through the reasons they believe our fourth amendment rights are being violated by the federal government.
